At Dog Eared Book Company, we believe every book deserves a forever home. When you donate your gently loved reads, you’re helping us pass along great stories to new readers—while also supporting animals in need.
A portion of every sale helps support local humane societies, because around here, it’s not just about books…it’s about second chances. 🐶💛
🦴 How It Works
Donating is simple:
- Tell us about the books you’d like to donate
- We’ll review and send you a prepaid shipping label
- Pack up your books and send them our way—on us!
Once they arrive, your books will be added to our collection, ready to find their next home.
We’re especially interested in popular fiction, book club favorites, and well-loved genres—but feel free to reach out with what you have!
📚 What Makes the Cut
We gladly accept gently used books in good condition. This means:
- Clean pages with minimal wear
- No water damage, mold, or strong odors
- Minimal highlighting or writing
- Covers and bindings intact
Basically, books you’d happily pass along to a fellow reader.
🚫 What We Can’t Fetch
To make sure we provide the best experience for our readers, we’re unable to accept:
- Missing pages or broken bindings
- Heavy damage, stains, or odors
- Excessive writing or markings
- Outdated textbooks or magazines
🚚 We’ll Cover the Trip
No need to chase down shipping costs—we’ve got it covered.
If your books are a good fit, we’ll send you a prepaid label so you can ship your donation at no cost—just print, pack, and drop it off at your nearest shipping center.
